Operations Manager

As an Operations Manager in a complex operational environment you'll oversee the logistics and processing department to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Based in Nottinghamshire, this role is key to maintaining high standards of service and operational success.

This role is with a company in the industrial and manufacturing sector focused on a logistics processing operation based in Nottinghamshire.

Description

  • Manage day-to-day logistics operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of resources to meet operational targets.
  • Monitor and improve operational processes to maximise productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and support the logistics team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align logistics operations with company objectives.
  • Manage budgets and control costs within the logistics department.

Profile

A successful Operations Manager should have:

  • Experience in logistics or operational management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Have worked in a complex processing environment.
  • Chemical, waste or other heavily regulated industrial experience would be a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations is essential.
  • The ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively with a knowledge on controlling varying costs across an environment.

Job Offer

  • Salary between £57,000 and £65,000 dependent on the level of experience.
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • 3% to 5% pension contribution.
  • Private healthcare cover.
