Welcome to the world of land-based gaming. At Light & Wonder, it’s all about the games, and our Gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.

Position Summary

We’re building a modern, resilient operation that supports Light & Wonder’s global gaming hardware portfolio, from new product launches to sustained, high-volume production and repair. As Operations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal, hands-on role in shaping how data, continuous improvement and warehouse operations drive the business, helping define how we plan, execute, and scale now and in the future.

This role offers genuine ownership. You’ll operate at the core of our operations driving strategy, improving critical planning systems and processes, and leading performance-critical initiatives around service, inventory accuracy, and cost. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance, IT, purchasing and logistics teams, you’ll lead in an agile, data-driven environment where your decisions have visible, business-wide impact.

Work Pattern

This is an onsite role based 5 days a week in Chadderton. Regular presence within the operation is important to support team leadership, collaboration and continuous improvement activities. Occasional travel may be required to support business needs.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse, inventory, repair and transport operations, ensuring safety, quality, service and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Own inventory accuracy and stock control processes, ensuring efficient material flow from receipt through storage, repair, assembly and dispatch.
  • Manage repair and refurbishment activities, ensuring customer commitments, throughput targets and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Build, develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Translate data-driven insights into actions that improve productivity, inventory accuracy, service levels, quality and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor performance across warehouse, repair and logistics functions, identifying operational trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and KPIs that provide stakeholders with clear visibility of operational performance.
  • Review and redesign existing processes to simplify, standardise and automate ways of working, creating a culture of continuous improvement across the operation.
  • Lead and champion continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse, inventory and repair operations, delivering measurable gains in performance, customer service, inventory accuracy and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions to address operational issues.
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve product, process and repair-related challenges.
  • Manage relationships with logistics providers and internal stakeholders to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes and operational readiness activities.
  • Improve operational systems and reporting capabilities through the effective use of technology, automation and AI tools.
  • Communicate operational performance, key risks and improvement opportunities to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure inventory-related financial metrics are accurate and reliable, acting as the primary point of contact for related queries.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
