About Cinnamon
Cinnamon is an independent Roblox studio behind LifeTogether, Blockspin, and Bayview. Our games have generated billions of visits. We own what we build and fund our growth through the success of our games.
We’re expanding into a studio with multiple teams developing new games and supporting existing titles. We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for the operations that make this possible.
The Role
This is a senior position reporting directly to the directors, sitting above individual game teams and working alongside the Portfolio Manager.
You’ll be the central operational contact for team leads across the studio. You’ll take responsibility for resolving their operational needs, handling sensitive team issues and ensuring people have the resources and support to do their jobs.
The directors will define the company’s core operating model. You’ll help establish it in practice and take ownership of keeping it running consistently across teams. The aim is for everyday operations to be handled without the directors needing to intervene.
Team leads own game development and the portfolio manager oversees game performance. Your focus is the people, processes, and practical support that keep the studio operating effectively.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of day-to-day operations across development teams, teams maintaining existing games, and shared specialist support.
- Hold weekly check-ins with team leads to understand their needs, address problems, and follow issues through to resolution.
- Host brief company-wide morning check-ins, creating a welcoming start before handing over to team leads for development discussions.
- Resolve operational blockers, including staffing gaps, missing access, and unclear responsibilities.
- Bring together priorities from team leads and give the directors a clear view of matters requiring their attention.
- Handle everyday issues within agreed responsibilities and escalate critical matters appropriately.
- Help establish onboarding processes and take responsibility for getting new team leads and developers ready to work.
- Set up new teams and manage the operational side of team changes or closures alongside the portfolio manager and recruitment.
- Work with recruitment to address hiring needs and manage the operational follow-through on staffing decisions.
- Handle sensitive team issues, including concerns raised about team leads and situations involving departures or replacements.
- Manage sensitive company accounts and permissions, including access to Roblox projects, tools, and company resources.
- Keep Discord, documentation, and operational information organized so people know where to find what they need.
- Maintain communication between game teams, shared specialists, and the brand team.
- Identify loose ends and recurring problems, making practical improvements within the company’s agreed operating model.

What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience managing operations across multiple teams.
- Experience working directly with founders or directors and supporting team managers.
- A strong record of taking responsibility for operational problems and seeing them through to resolution.
- Experience implementing processes, managing onboarding, and supporting organizational growth.
- Sound judgment when handling sensitive information, staff concerns, and competing demands.
- Confidence dealing with staffing issues and difficult conversations.
- Clear communication and the ability to summarize team priorities for directors.
- The ability to work independently within agreed responsibilities and recognize when escalation is needed.
- An approachable manner that helps people feel comfortable raising questions or concerns.
- Willingness to take personal ownership of practical details as well as wider operational responsibilities.
- Experience in a games studio or another creative or technology business would be valuable. Familiarity with Roblox and Discord would be an advantage.

You’ll be trusted with sensitive access, important team issues, and the daily running of operations across the studio.
Team leads need to know that when they bring you a problem, it will be handled. The directors need to know that routine matters are being resolved and significant issues will reach them with clear context.
We’re looking for someone who combines experience and judgment with a warm, dependable presence. Someone who can handle a difficult conversation, welcome a new starter, and make sure an unresolved issue doesn’t get forgotten.
Location and Working Arrangement
This is a permanent role with remote working within the UK.
You must already be based in the UK and have the right to work here. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
