READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP?
At Moxy, we do hotels differently. We're social, energetic and full of personality — and we're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help lead Moxy Belfast City, working hand-in-hand with the General Manager to drive performance, standards and guest experience across the hotel.
This is a senior, hands-on hotel leadership role — second-in-command to the General Manager — with oversight of Front Office, Food & Beverage, Accommodation, Nights and the overall guest journey, and full accountability for the hotel when the GM is off property.
What You'll Do
You'll:
- Support the General Manager, leading the hotel operation and maintaining a strong, visible presence.
- Drive hotel revenue and profit growth by maximising sales opportunities throughout the property.
- Keep standards high across all operational departments and hold Department Managers accountable.
- Prioritise competing demands and make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Delegate effectively — knowing what needs done, who should own it and when to follow up.
- Manage your time between the live operation, your team and longer-term priorities.
- Champion the Moxy guest experience and keep the hotel Thoughtful, Spirited and Fun.
- Resolve guest concerns confidently and turn feedback into action.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cost control and commercial performance alongside the GM and Finance team.
- Lead, coach and develop the management team, supporting recruitment, training and succession planning.
- Ensure safety, security, licensing, GDPR and operational standards are maintained at all times.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
