Operations Manager, Anchor Support Ltd
Anchor Support Ltd is a newly established staffing company supplying support workers into children and young people's services across the North East. We're built properly from day one, full safeguarding and safer recruitment policies, DBS processing in place, and a genuine focus on doing this sector right, not just filling shifts.
We're looking for an Operations Manager to help take Anchor from a strong foundation to an operating business, working closely with the Director across recruitment, compliance, and day-to-day operations as we secure contracts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Compensation
This is a growth-stage opportunity. We're open to discussing a structure that works for the right person, competitive pay reflecting experience, with real scope to grow into a more senior role as Anchor secures its first contracts.
