Shift Manager

We’re recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology-led logistics business that is transforming how parcels move through the e-commerce delivery network.

The company is looking for a hands-on Shift Manager to lead sortation operations at its London site. You’ll take ownership of a busy shift, manage a frontline operational team and ensure targets for safety, productivity, quality and service are consistently achieved.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing parcel-sortation operations throughout your shift
  • Leading, motivating and coaching a team of site operatives
  • Allocating people and resources according to operational demand
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
  • Maintaining and improving health and safety standards
  • Monitoring performance data and addressing operational issues
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality
  • Collaborating with site leadership and other internal teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Leadership experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution, fulfilment, parcel delivery, manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing operational KPIs and performance targets
  • Strong communication and team-building skills
  • The ability to make calm, practical decisions under pressure
  • Confidence using data to identify problems and improve performance
  • A positive, hands-on leadership style
  • Flexibility to work an agreed day or night-shift pattern
