Shift Manager
We’re recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology-led logistics business that is transforming how parcels move through the e-commerce delivery network.
The company is looking for a hands-on Shift Manager to lead sortation operations at its London site. You’ll take ownership of a busy shift, manage a frontline operational team and ensure targets for safety, productivity, quality and service are consistently achieved.
What you’ll be doing:
- Overseeing parcel-sortation operations throughout your shift
- Leading, motivating and coaching a team of site operatives
- Allocating people and resources according to operational demand
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
- Maintaining and improving health and safety standards
- Monitoring performance data and addressing operational issues
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality
- Collaborating with site leadership and other internal teams

What we’re looking for:
- Leadership experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution, fulfilment, parcel delivery, manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment
- Experience managing operational KPIs and performance targets
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- The ability to make calm, practical decisions under pressure
- Confidence using data to identify problems and improve performance
- A positive, hands-on leadership style
- Flexibility to work an agreed day or night-shift pattern
