Operations Manager - Central London

Iconic Restaurant | Piccadilly | Full-Time, Permanent | up to £45,000 + Benefits

This isn't just another job opportunity. Our client is one of the most recognised hospitality brands on the planet: a high-energy, music-led restaurant with venues in over 70 countries, home to one of the world's most valuable collections of music memorabilia, iconic bars, live music, standout events and a thriving retail shop.

They're looking for a driven, hands-on Operations Manager to join the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager. If you thrive in high-volume, full-service environments, love developing people and get a buzz from delivering unforgettable guest experiences, this is your stage.

Operations Manager Role:

As Operations Manager, you'll own your departmental P&L expense lines and work alongside senior leadership to keep brand standards and core values at the heart of everything the team does, while meeting and exceeding business objectives.

What You'll Be Doing as Operations Manager:

  • Driving the numbers: Take ownership of departmental budgets and P&L lines, managing labour schedules in line with forecasts and running your cost centre with commercial confidence.
  • Leading from the front: Mentor and coach hourly team members into true brand ambassadors and industry-leading service stewards.
  • Delivering the experience: Create a guest-first culture where every visit exceeds expectations, measured against objective brand-standard rankings.
  • Growing retail: Uphold standards in the on-site retail shop and bring creative ideas to grow sales through great team and guest interaction.
  • Building the team: Support senior management in attracting, retaining and placing exceptional talent where they'll have maximum impact.
  • Developing people: Act as a Learning Coach, setting clear goals, running performance reviews and delivering development programmes that build careers and boost retention.
  • Working across the business: Partner with every department to ensure systems and processes are executed consistently and to brand standard.
  • Talking music: Engage with guests about music past and present. A genuine passion for music is a real advantage here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
