Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Operations Manager role based in Chelmsford, Essex with the AURORA ENERGY GROUP, a Renewable Energy wholesale business.
The Operations Manager oversees daily operational activities ensuring orders and services are delivered correctly, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating workflows
- Managing schedules and resources
- Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of the service provided to the customer
- Supervising and mentoring team members
- Handling Operational and Accounting issues
- Collaborating with the Sales Dept
- Maintaining Compliance with company policies and Industry regulations
- Supporting strategic planning
- Preparing operational reports
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the company

- Demonstrated experience in operations management or a similar leadership role, preferably within the energy, construction, or technical services sector.
- Strong skills in planning, organising, and coordinating multiple projects with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using business and operations software tools to manage data and track performance.
- Effective people management skills, including team supervision, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying process bottlenecks and implementing practical, data-driven improvements.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with team members, customers, clients, and external partners.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to onsite operations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- Ability to work onsite in Chelmsford on a daily basis and adapt to changing operational needs and priorities.
- Must drive and have own vehicle.
