Location: Bristol

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)

At Prestige Nursing & Care, we provide specialist home care that helps people live safely and independently at home. We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our teams, drive service excellence, support growth, and shape the future of our operations.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Franchise Director to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, compliant care services while supporting the continued growth and success of the business.

You will play a pivotal role in operational performance, Business development, regulatory compliance, workforce leadership, quality assurance, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Franchise Director in overseeing the overall operational performance of the branch.
  • Support the identification and development of new business opportunities and branch growth.
  • Work alongside Registered Managers to maintain safe, effective, high-quality, and compliant care services.
  • Drive operational excellence whilst supporting business growth and profitability.
  • Support the successful mobilisation and growth of new territories.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and operational support to branch teams.
  • Identify operational risks and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor service performance, workforce capacity, staffing levels, and operational pressures.
  • Develop and enhance systems and processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for clients, families, staff, and external professionals.
  • Promote a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure recruitment practices remain robust, compliant, and aligned with company procedures.
  • Support the safe mobilisation of new care packages and service developments.
  • Oversee effective induction, training, and development of new employees.
  • Provide support on employee relations matters and people management issues.
  • Assist Registered Managers in maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure learning outcomes are embedded following incidents, complaints, audits, and feedback.
  • Develop and mentor future leaders within the organisation.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' management experience within the Home care sector.
  • Proven track record in operational leadership and service delivery.
  • Experience managing multiple sites, branches, or services.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Evidence of managing successful services achieving a minimum Good CQC rating.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyse operational data and drive informed decision-making.
  • Experience managing branch budgets and profit & loss accounts.
  • Experience preparing and managing operational budgets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability.
  • Flexible approach to working hours when required.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.

  • Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience within complex care services.
  • Leadership or management qualification.
