About The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to provide senior operational leadership across The Home Office portfolio.

The successful candidate will manage contract delivery teams across services ensuring all activities are completed safely, compliantly, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Take responsibility for operational service delivery, risk and compliance across the region.
  • Lead site-based and mobile contract delivery teams across Hard FM..
  • Own the customer relationship, promoting a collaborative, one-team approach.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for operational issues, incidents and service failures.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Carry out technical inspections, building walkarounds and operational audits.
  • Proactively identify maintenance, compliance and service-improvement requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance against KPIs, SLAs and statutory obligations.
  • Manage operational budgets, resources, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed and properly documented.
  • Produce clear operational, compliance and performance reports for clients and senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement across service delivery, safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Support business continuity planning and provide leadership during critical incidents.
  • Coach and develop operational managers and team members, promoting accountability and high performance.

Essential Hiring Criteria

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Senior management experience within facilities management.
  • Proven experience managing Hard FM services
  • Experience managing operational site-based or mobile teams.
  • Strong understanding of technical building services, planned maintenance and reactive works.
  • Experience managing risk, statutory compliance, incidents and service failures.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budget and contract-performance management.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Relevant health and safety qualification, such as IOSH, NEBOSH or SMSTS.
  • Excellent client and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong presentation and written report-writing ability.
  • Good IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to complete full disclosure and Government baseline security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required SC Clearances
  • Willingness to work flexibly
