Operations Manager – Leading American Chicken QSR Concept

North West England | Up to £60,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading American chicken QSR concept as an Operations Manager, overseeing a high-performing portfolio of restaurants across Manchester, Liverpool and the wider North West.

This is a key field leadership role within a fast-growing branded restaurant business that is entering a significant phase of UK expansion. With strong investment behind the brand and an ambitious pipeline of new openings, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven multi-site operator who wants to make a real impact.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of a region of 8+ high-volume restaurants, leading General Managers and their teams to deliver outstanding commercial results, operational standards and guest experiences.

You will be responsible for:

  • Full commercial accountability across sales, labour, profitability and controllable costs
  • Leading, coaching and developing General Managers across your region
  • Driving consistent execution of operational and brand standards
  • Improving performance across both established and newly opened restaurants
  • Supporting the successful launch and mobilisation of new sites
  • Partnering with central support teams to deliver operational improvements and business initiatives

Commercial Performance

You will take ownership of regional performance and ensure each restaurant delivers against its commercial targets.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Delivering weekly and monthly KPIs across the region
  • Driving sales growth through strong operational execution
  • Managing labour percentages, waste and controllable costs

Leadership & People

People leadership will be at the heart of the role.

You will:

  • Build a strong, accountable team of General Managers
  • Coach and develop restaurant leaders to improve performance
  • Create a high-energy, performance-led culture across the region
  • Identify and develop future leaders as the business grows
  • Address underperformance quickly, fairly and effectively
  • Build strong succession plans across your restaurants

Operational Excellence

You will ensure every restaurant delivers consistently against the brand's operational expectations.

This will include:

  • Maintaining excellent food quality, service and restaurant standards
  • Driving consistency in guest experience
  • Ensuring compliance across food safety, health & safety and audit requirements
  • Identifying operational challenges and implementing sustainable solutions
  • Sharing best practice across the region

Growth & New Openings

With a strong pipeline of new restaurants planned, you will play an important role in the continued growth of the business.

You will:

  • Support new restaurant openings across the North West
  • Ensure teams and restaurants are operationally ready for launch
  • Help recruit, train and develop leadership teams for new locations
  • Work closely with central functions during rollout and mobilisation activity
  • Embed strong operational standards from day one

About You

We are looking for an experienced multi-site hospitality operator who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

You are likely to have:

  • Experience as an Operations Manager, Area Manager or similar multi-site leader within QSR or fast-casual restaurants
  • Responsibility for 8+ high-volume sites
  • Strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of restaurant P&Ls
  • A proven track record of improving sales, profitability and operational performance
  • Experience leading and developing General Managers
  • Strong coaching, communication and accountability skills
  • Experience within a fast-growth branded hospitality business
  • Exposure to new restaurant openings or regional expansion
  • A hands-on leadership style and the ability to operate effectively in the field
