The Role

We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced Operations Managers to join our management team and lead the effective delivery of Council Tax operations.

Working as part of a wider management team of four Operations Managers across Council Tax, NNDR and centralised financial services, these two roles will have specific responsibility for Council Tax, ensuring high performance, strong financial controls and excellent customer service.

You will lead and develop our people, manage operational performance and drive continuous improvement, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will play a pivotal role in shaping service delivery, building capability within your teams and supporting the Council’s wider strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage your respective service, ensuring high performance and service standards.
  • Oversee the effective administration of Council Tax, or the delivery of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, depending on the role.
  • Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with financial controls.
  • Monitor and improve operational processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use data and performance information to inform decisions and service improvements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
