About the Role

We require a senior Operations Leader for our Livingston Site.
The Operations Manager will be primarily responsible for all aspects of Safety, Delivery, Quality, and cost on production and development programs, as well as being the designated site lead for the Livingston facility. Reporting to the UK Head of Manufacturing, the Operations Manager will lead a team of Production managers to establish key elements of tactical and operational plans with direct impact towards the achievement of results, focusing on short to medium-term time horizons.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production programs are managed within agreed quality standards, financial budgets, and timescales.
- Drive productivity and problem-solving through our Lean management system.
- Maintain manufacturing compliance to RUK standards.
- Ensure site operation and growth plans have a defined site leader working with key functional, program, and customer stakeholders.
Daily Activities
- Drive world-class safety culture and respond to all site EH&S requirements promptly.
- Maintain manufacturing compliance to RUK standards.
- Accountable for manufacturing at the Livingston location, holding overall responsibility for the production of quality products in an efficient and timely manner.
- Provide leadership coaching and development for Production Managers and production team leads.
- Execute the daily Lean management system, including Tiered accountability meetings, visual management systems, and leader standard work.
- Drive accountability to daily results and rapid corrective actions to overcome misses.
- Responsible for training and overall development of the manufacturing team in alignment with business needs.
- Champion for safety, quality improvement, and CORE programs across all manufacturing areas.

The Skills and Experience We’re Looking For
- Extensive leadership experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Leadership experience of working in a matrix environment with a diverse customer base.
- Demonstrated track record of using continuous improvement tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A Business or Engineering degree would be advantageous.

For this role, the successful hire will need to be a permanent UK resident and successfully complete a baseline (BPSS) security and background check.
Role Type
This position is classified as Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. The ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
