About Synergize
Synergize is one of the UK's leading specialists in refurbishment, planned maintenance, and building remediation, delivering high-quality projects across both the public and private sectors. Since 2004, we've built our reputation on delivering complex programmes safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, with expertise spanning planned maintenance, refurbishment, external wall remediation, and energy efficiency improvements.
Today, Synergize forms part of Grosvenor House Group (GHG) - a growing national group bringing together specialist businesses across facilities management, refurbishment, passive fire protection, and property services. Being part of GHG means combining the agility and close-knit culture of a specialist contractor with the stability, investment, and long-term opportunities of a larger organisation delivering projects across the UK.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for talented people who want to make a genuine impact, help shape the future of the business, and develop their careers within an ambitious and expanding group.
Role Purpose
To take full operational and commercial ownership of service delivery across a defined portfolio of contracts, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, within budget, and to the standards expected by our clients and the residents we serve. The role carries P&L accountability and is the day-to-day operational point of contact for the client, with responsibility for building a high-performing delivery team and driving continuous improvement across quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of refurbishment, planned maintenance, and remediation programmes across the SynFurb portfolio, ensuring KPI and SLA performance is consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Own the operational programme: resource planning, scheduling, productivity, and completion rates across both direct labour and supply chain.
- Drive programme milestones, defect turnaround, and handover timescales, using performance data to identify and resolve root causes rather than symptoms.
- Oversee mobilisation and demobilisation activity, including new contract start-ups and variations to scope.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
