Operations Manager
Datomic Cutting are looking for an Operations Manager to join our existing office team and play a key role in the day-to-day running of our projects, teams and equipment.
You'll work closely with our Operations Director, gradually taking ownership of day-to-day planning and helping coordinate jobs from initial enquiry through to completion.
We're looking for someone to start within the next few months.
This is a varied role split between working from home, our depot in Ellesmere Port, Wirral, and visiting sites across the UK. Working away may occasionally be required, although the majority of your time will be spent working from home or at our depot.
What the role involves:
- Communicating with our site teams and dealing with operational issues as they arise
- Daily and weekly planning of works and projects
- Preparing quotations and liaising with customers by phone and email
- Organising equipment and vehicle preparation, maintenance and repairs
- Coordinating the delivery and collection of equipment
- Reporting to clients following completion of works
- Carrying out site visits to gather information and plan upcoming works
- Occasionally supporting our site teams when additional operational support is required
- Learning the preparation, maintenance and operation of our specialist equipment
- Sporadic on-call and out-of-hours availability when our teams are working nights or weekends

What we're looking for:
- Previous operational experience preferred
- Confident communicating with customers and site teams
- Comfortable using email and computers for day-to-day work
- Organised and able to manage changing priorities
- Willingness to learn about a specialist area of the drainage industry
- CSCS, water jetting and confined space certification for site work would be beneficial, but training can be provided
- Full UK driving license

Experience within drainage or our specific area of work isn't essential. We're more interested in finding someone with the right operational mindset, communication skills and willingness to learn.
