Operations Manager
Location: Leeds / Wetherby Salary: circa £55,000 Per Annum Sector: Financial Services Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join a growing financial services organisation based in Leeds/Wetherby. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and is passionate about delivering operational excellence, improving processes, and leading high-performing teams.
As Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the operations team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage daily operational processes to ensure service standards and KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Monitor operational performance, producing management information and reports for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, internal policies, and risk management procedures.
- Collaborate with departments including Compliance, Finance, Customer Services, and IT to deliver business objectives.
- Manage operational risks, escalating issues where appropriate and implementing corrective actions.
- Support business change initiatives, including system implementations and process transformation projects.
- Oversee resource planning and workforce management to meet business demands.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.

- Previous experience in an Operations Manager or Senior Operations role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of working within a regulated environment (FCA experience desirable).
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience improving operational processes and delivering change.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using operational reporting tools.
