Part-Time General Manager – Operations & Growth
Levels Education
Predominantly Remote / London
Approx. 3 days per week during school term
£29–£31 per hour | PAYE
Estimated annual earnings: £25,000–£28,000 depending on hours worked
Levels Education is a growing extracurricular education company delivering specialist sports and creative programmes to the too independent and international schools across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced General Manager / Operations & Growth to take genuine ownership of the day-to-day running of the business.
This is not a traditional administrative role. We are looking for someone experienced, organised and commercially minded who can independently manage our operations, maintain excellent relationships with schools and help us continue to grow.
The role
You will become the central operational point of contact for the business, with responsibility for:
- Managing relationships with existing school clients
- Coach recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and cover
- School timetables, term dates and programme launches
- Resolving day-to-day operational issues
- Onboarding new schools
- Safeguarding, compliance and associated administration
- Invoicing, payment reconciliation and basic bookkeeping
- Maintaining FreeAgent and liaising with our accountant
- Managing our CRM and prospective-school pipeline
- Following up enquiries and arranging meetings and taster sessions
- Supporting renewals and identifying opportunities to introduce additional programmes
- Supporting expansion into new schools and markets
- Providing the Director with a concise overview of operations, finances and issues requiring attention

Working pattern
The role is approximately three days per week during school terms and predominantly remote, with considerable flexibility.
As the business follows the academic calendar, hours are substantially lower during school holidays. Easter and July involve reduced hours, while most of August has minimal requirements before activity increases in preparation for September.
Pay is £29–£31 per hour through PAYE, so monthly earnings will vary according to hours worked.
During term time, there may occasionally be an urgent operational matter outside normal working days, such as a last-minute coach absence or school issue. This is not intended to be an always-on position.
About you
You will ideally have experience in general management, operations, education, children’s activities or another multi-site service business.

- Can work autonomously and make sensible decisions without constant direction
- Is exceptionally organised and comfortable managing multiple moving parts
- Communicates confidently with senior school staff and clients
- Can manage coaches, contractors and other team members
- Is financially literate and comfortable with basic bookkeeping
- Is commercially minded and interested in growing a business
- Remains calm when unexpected operational problems arise
- Enjoys improving systems and processes
Experience within education or extracurricular activities would be valuable but isn’t essential. A personal background or passion for sport or a creative discipline would also be a bonus.

We deliver specialist programmes including Parkour, Magic & Skateboarding and are continuing to expand across the UK and internationally.
