Operations Officer
Keep our charity running smoothly, so our team can focus on changing young lives.
Looking for a varied role where your work really matters?
Maybe you're an Office Manager, HR Officer, Operations Coordinator, or Executive Assistant looking for your next step.
Maybe you've worked in a small business or start-up where you did a bit of everything, and you loved it.
At Dallaglio RugbyWorks, we support young people who are at risk of exclusion from education. Using sport as a hook and positive relationships as the foundation, we help young people build confidence, resilience, aspirations, and life skills that can transform their futures. Our national team works with young people across the country, and they rely on strong central support to keep the cogs turning.
You don't need experience in every part of this role. What matters is that you're a quick learner, happy to get stuck in, and able to work at pace.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing
Behind every great team is someone keeping everything running.
As our Operations Officer, you'll be that person. This is a hands-on, varied role at the heart of our charity, and no two days will look the same. One day you might be onboarding a new starter, the next setting up laptops, planning a team away day, or posting on our social media.
You'll own the employee lifecycle from recruitment through to exit, keeping our HR processes on track and our records accurate. You'll work closely with our COO, who leads on strategy and culture, while you own the day-to-day delivery.
You'll also make sure our office at House of Sport runs smoothly and welcomingly, look after our IT, kit, and systems, and be a central point of support for the whole team, from organizing staff days and away days to preparing for our full team meetings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

More About Us
At Dallaglio RugbyWorks, we support young people 12-18 who have been excluded from education or at risk of exclusion. Using sport as the starting point and mentoring as the foundation, we help them build confidence, resilience, and the skills they need to create brighter futures. Rugby helps start the relationship, but the work goes far beyond sport. The charity uses mentoring, life skills, wellbeing support, and career-focused activities to help young people build confidence and prepare for life after school.
Our work focuses on four areas: life skills, raising aspirations, physical wellbeing, and mental wellbeing, and the aim is to make sure exclusion from school does not become exclusion from society. You'll be part of a team that makes sure young people get consistent support, trusted adults, and practical chances to move towards education, employment, or training.
The interview process
Interviews will take place in person at our office at House of Sport in Borough. It's a great chance for you to meet the people you'd be working with and see where you'd be based, as well as for us to get to know you.
