Operations Officer
The Operations Officer will support the delivery and development of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) across a portfolio of Licensed Organisations (LOs), including schools, colleges, local authorities, charities, and youth organisations.
You will work with senior leaders and DofE staff within these organisations to ensure young people have access to a high-quality DofE programme, particularly those facing barriers to participation.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior leaders and DofE staff within Licensed Organisations.
- Ensure young people have access to a high-quality DofE programme.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Licensed Organisations.
- Provide day-to-day support, guidance, and training to DofE staff and volunteers.
- Develop and implement plans to help organisations grow and improve their DofE provision.
- Monitor performance, participation, and targets using DofE systems and reporting tools.
- Conduct licence reviews and support the licensing of new organisations.
- Encourage greater participation from young people experiencing marginalisation.
- Attend and deliver meetings, training, and presentations both online and in person.
- Support the planning and delivery of regional and national DofE events.
- Contribute to projects and working groups across the organisation.
- Support funding applications and project reporting where required.
- Help deliver the DofE Strategy and England Business Plan.

Requirements
- Passionate about making a positive impact.
- Experience building strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident delivering meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to analyse data and use information to support decision-making.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Location
- Live within, or close to, the Central London portfolio area.
- Willing to travel regularly across the portfolio.
- Able to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Willing to undertake occasional overnight stays for meetings and events.
