Operations & Projects Associate

£40,000 per annum
Location: London
Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Contract Duration: 6 months

Native has been building for 10 years, but we're still very much a startup: fast-moving, ambitious, and building with intent. We're creating the infrastructure that connects students, Students’ Unions, universities, and advertisers through a managed marketplace.

Our goal is to deliver for students by increasing student engagement while enabling Students’ Unions to secure sustainable funding. For advertisers, we offer meaningful, measurable routes to student audiences. The more aligned these incentives are, the more defensible and scalable our business becomes.

The Opportunity

We're looking for someone who wants to learn how a whole business works, not just one corner of it. You'll work with teams across the business, supporting the planning and delivery of internal initiatives. The heart of this role is relationships: building trust with teams across sales, operations, delivery, tech, finance and people, and getting things done through others with persistence and good humour.

This is a great fit for someone early in their career who is curious about everything, from commercial pipelines to logistics, and wants a front-row view of how a scaling company makes decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Keep a portfolio of cross-functional projects on track: set milestones, track progress against them, and raise it early when something slips
  • Turn conversations into action: capture decisions and actions from leadership and project meetings, then follow up with owners until things are done
  • Build strong working relationships with team leads across the business, and get the input, data and decisions each project needs
  • Help produce weekly and monthly leadership reporting, pulling data from our CRM and spreadsheets and turning it into a short, clear story
  • Learn how each part of Native works and spot where things connect, or break, between teams
  • Prepare agendas, briefing notes and short papers that help leaders make decisions
  • Over time, take ownership of smaller projects from start to finish

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring vision, structure, and operational discipline to a fast-growing function. You know how to scale people-driven operations and balance commercial priorities with quality, compliance, and culture.

Specifically, you will bring:

  • 0 to 2 years' experience in a project coordination, project support, operations or similar role (internships and relevant uni or volunteering experience count)
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Clear, concise writing: you can turn a messy meeting into five lines someone will actually read
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Confident using AI tools and collaboration and project tools; quick to identify and learn new ones
  • Highly organised, with a good eye for detail and the ability to juggle several projects at once
  • Discretion: you'll regularly handle confidential leadership information
  • Genuine curiosity about how businesses work, and the energy to learn quickly
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude
