About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Resource Assistant to join our team based in Burton on Trent. We support our customers through maintenance and operation optimisation with customized solutions for spare parts, repair, and overhaul activities on existing trains.
Responsibilities
- Support the Resource Manager in consistent staff management, timely escalation, and effective deployment of staffing across the operation.
- Develop training plans with Production Managers and hold regular meetings to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate external training with the Competency team to meet competency requirements.
- Maintain accurate, auditable training records with the Competence department.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews as required.
- Ensure Tensor data is accurate and up to date.
- Work with HR to action permanent changes in Workday.
- Monitor attendance issues, including absence irregularities and lateness; liaise with HR and conduct necessary meetings such as RTW, investigations, and initial performance management.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies to manage staffing needs, including PO requests, pre-employment processes, and leavers.
- Support Operations and Production Managers with ad-hoc projects related to SLAs and KPIs.
- Assist the Resource Manager in ensuring Production Managers and Team Leaders maintain optimal staffing levels.

Requirements
- Previous administrative experience (preferably within an operations environment)
- Basic understanding of HR Management of staff
- Excellent IT Skills proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience in Excel Wraps, Workday, and Time & Attendance software (preferred)
