Operations & Project Delivery Manager

£55,000-£65,000 DOE
Performance Networks is looking for an experienced Operations & Project Delivery Manager to lead customer project delivery, service operations and engineering resource planning.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role for someone who wants to make a visible impact and help shape how the business operates as it grows.
We are not looking for someone simply to inherit existing processes and keep them running. We want someone who will take ownership, identify what needs to improve and actively drive Operations forward.
What you'll do
- Lead multiple customer projects from formal handover through to completion, acceptance and billing readiness.
- Manage project plans, risks, dependencies, scope changes and customer communications.
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and customer stakeholders, taking control when delivery is at risk.
- Own service-desk performance, operational escalations and service improvement.
- Lead and develop the operational delivery team, setting clear priorities, expectations and accountability.
- Plan engineering capacity across projects, support and planned work.
- Maintain commercial control of project costs, variations, WIP and invoicing readiness.
- Improve handovers, workflows, systems, reporting, documentation and automation.
- Identify recurring problems, address root causes and turn lessons learned into practical change.
- Build repeatable, scalable processes that reduce delays, rework and dependency on individual people.

What we're looking for
You will ideally have experience in networking, WiFi, telecommunications, infrastructure or a comparable technical environment. We are particularly interested in someone who has:
- Strong technical project and service-delivery experience, including multiple concurrent customer projects.
- Experience leading technical or engineering teams and coordinating field resources and delivery partners.
- Strong commercial awareness and confident customer and stakeholder management.
- A record of materially improving an operational function, process or system, rather than simply maintaining it.
- The ability to use KPIs and operational information to drive decisions and measurable improvement.
- The confidence to challenge established ways of working and turn agreed changes into action.

Technical understanding: You do not need to be a network engineer or solutions architect. This is an operational leadership role. However, you should be comfortable working within networking, WiFi and infrastructure environments, understand the terminology and delivery challenges involved, and be able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and engineers. Our dedicated Pre-Sales & Solutions function owns technical discovery, solution design and technical governance.
