Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Produce accurate management information and reports to support effective governance, decision-making and operational oversight.
  • Support effective budget control by monitoring agency spend and consumable usage, taking appropriate action to manage costs in line with operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Scanning Centre Managers in planning temporary workforce requirements, delivering temporary workforce induction\training, ensuring staffing levels and skills align with the approved capacity plan.
  • Delivering series planning against agreed specifications, ensuring pre-live setup, end-to-end testing and readiness checks are completed for each customer ahead of go-live.
  • Identify operational risks, incidents or blockers in real time, taking appropriate action and escalating where required to protect delivery, quality and service levels.
  • Hold direct line management responsibility for 6 allocated reports, conducting regular monthly check-ins to review performance, wellbeing, development and support needs.
  • Supervise, coach and mentor staff, ensuring behaviours and ways of working align with the culture and values of AQA.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive team environment where colleagues understand expectations, feel able to raise concerns, and are treated fairly and consistently.
  • Actively promote diversity and inclusion by leading teams fairly, recognising individual needs, and creating an environment where all colleagues feel respected, supported and able to contribute fully.
  • Oversee individual and team performance across the permanent team throughout the year and the temporary team during peak periods, against agreed productivity, quality and behavioural expectations, providing timely feedback and support where required.
  • Lead the team to ensure up-to-date and accurate work instructions are in place for allocated customer jobs, providing timely feedback and input where changes are required.
  • Identify any issues relating to understanding, capability or performance within the team, resolving or escalating them as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other Shift Team Leads to ensure consistency in the day-to-day management of Operations Coordinators and the delivery of operational activities.
  • Oversee the completion of all quality control activities, ensuring they are delivered consistently and in line with agreed processes during each series.
  • Contribute to the design, development and implementation of clear process controls and supporting documentation for all activities within the Scanning Centre operation.
  • Encourage and capture improvement ideas from colleagues, using lessons learned and operational insight to improve process efficiency, quality and colleague experience.
  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable improvements to process efficiency, quality, colleague experience and operational performance.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with internal stakeholders, ensuring progress, risks and decisions are shared appropriately.
  • Ensure mandatory PPE is used correctly and safe systems of work understood and followed consistently and in line with health and safety requirements.
