Our client is a leading provider of specialist industrial washing services, delivering high standards of vehicle cleanliness and customer service to fleet operators across the region. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations/Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of their busy site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving performance, developing teams and delivering exceptional service standards.
As Operations/Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for site operations, ensuring the business runs efficiently, safely and profitably. Your new role
The position is offered full time Monday to Friday and fully based on-site.
Leading a team of 14 employees, you will be instrumental in maintaining high levels of productivity, quality and customer satisfaction whilst ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. This is a varied role that combines people management, operational oversight and customer engagement, making it ideal for an individual who enjoys being at the heart of a busy operation.

Some of your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Manage, motivate and develop a team of 14 employees.
- Oversee site supervisors and ensure effective workforce planning.
- Create and manage staff rotas to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Lead all recruitment activities including interviewing, onboarding and training.
- Manage employee relations matters including disciplinaries, performance management and absence management.
- Approve holiday requests and maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage productivity, quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Produce performance reports and implement action plans where necessary.
- Ensure the site consistently delivers excellent service levels and operational excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Site Manager, Depot Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong people management experience with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Experience managing employee performance, disciplines and recruitment processes.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- A strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
- Proven experience managing KPIs and driving operational performance.
- Confidence in handling customer complaints and resolving issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
