About the Role
Executive Freight Services Limited are looking for an Operations Specialist to join their team in support of their group companies. This is a central role supporting our own customers as well as external group companies with daily operational activity.
You will have knowledge all modes of transport — road, air, sea — across both import and export. The role will see the candidate working closely with external suppliers, overseas partners and external group companies to arrange shipments in an accurate and timely manner.
You'll be the link between our central business and our peripheral group companies. Utilising a varied supplier network including our own group partners, both upstream and downstream you’ll be able to arrange all varieties of shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support peripheral group companies with their operational requirements, across all transport modes — road, air, sea — for both import and export shipments.
- Integrate with existing teams for Import and Export shipments and provide support to our core business customers.
- Provide accurate & timely operational updates to relevant parties.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers alike.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders — sales, operations and group offices — acting as a trusted point of contact for operational activities.

What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in freight forwarding operations, with exposure to multiple transport modes across import and export.
- Experience of working in high pressure environments and confident in meeting deadlines.
- Solid understanding of import and export processes and the commercial factors associated with shipments.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and compliance.
- Confident, personable communicator with a track record of building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products; comfortable learning and developing new systems and pricing tools.
- Ability to manage a high volume of operational tasks while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.

Desirable:
- Experience working within a multimodal or multi-entity group structure.
- Familiarity with Incoterms 2020 and how they specify responsibility of roles in global trade.
- Existing supplier relationships within road, air & sea freight.
- Experience using CargoWise, BoxTop, ASM Sequioa
