Operations Specialist at Starbucks UK

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for driving critical operational projects through coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and ensuring successful delivery of operational initiatives. You’ll also provide essential support for day-to-day operational activities and business-as-usual (BAU) processes making sure we provide consistency, compliance and smooth execution across all retail operations.

Key Activities

  • Creating, updating, and implementing forms and process documents that streamline operations and enhance cross-functional collaboration
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for systems, providing guidance, training, and troubleshooting support to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver operational initiatives
  • Ensuring timely receipt and accurate transfer of critical information across functions
  • Building deep expertise in operational systems and leveraging this knowledge to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Developing and executing testing and implementation plans for products, programs, and system initiatives
  • Gathering feedback and requirements from partners to recommend improvements in operational systems
  • Partnering with UK business operations teams to identify, benchmark, and share best practices
  • Supporting implementation across multiple work streams
  • Ensuring all communications and implementation tools meet operational standards
  • Maintaining robust operational system data and supporting processes

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a central operations function in a fast-paced, multisite retail or hospitality business
  • Experience of delivering strategic projects that create measurable impact and accelerate growth and profitability
  • Mastered the art of planning and organisation
  • Sharp analytical thinking with the ability to identify risks, solve problems, and recommend improvements
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and ensure seamless execution of both strategic initiatives and BAU processes
