Operations Supervisor
Circa £32k (rising to £32,988.00 after probation)
Average 45 hours per week
Newton Abbot, TQ12
We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join us at our Distribution Centre based in Newton Abbot.
Working alongside the Operations Manager & the management team to ensure the depot operates effectively and with efficiency.
The Position:
As Operations Supervisor your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting the Operations Manager to ensure the seamless daily functioning of the site.
- Providing cover for drivers, warehouse, and Trade Counter when staff are absent.
- Supervising site security and cleanliness.
- Ensuring the company's established standards and (KPIs) are achieved.
- Completing all necessary documentation following Company procedures.
- Supporting with the depot health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring that all drivers adhere to European Union Drivers Rule legislation.

The Person:
- Experience in operations, with the ability to form, lead, supervise, and inspire a team.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of transport and warehousing operations.
- Possession of a forklift license is a plus, but training can be arranged if necessary.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Hold a HGV Class 2 driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Exceptional customer service skills are a fundamental requirement.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software is beneficial
