Operations Supervisor – VC Cork
Applications are invited for the position of Operations Supervisor on a Permanent Full-time basis. The focus of this role will be to assist with the effective management, planning, and coordination of the operation in our Value Centre Cork branch.
Reporting to the Value Centre Operations Manager, key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- Supervise daily warehouse activities to ensure all appropriate targets are being achieved by employees
- Ensure skills mix within the warehouse and all employees are trained to achieve objectives
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and available for shift activities and to meet customer requirements
- Manage workflow in the warehouse to ensure objectives are achieved and to meet operational demands and customer requirements
- Monitor and manage the performance of those within the area of control
- Supervise health & safety in the warehouse and ensure operations are compliant with the appropriate risk assessments
- Ensure security policies are always complied with
- Ensure Good Distribution Practice for medicinal procedures on shift are observed
- Ensure the warehouse hygiene is maintained
- Ensure stock availability to meet customer demands and needs
- Ensure an orderly handover at the end of shift
- Ensure replenishment of items throughout shift and in preparation for the next day pick
- Ensure Procedures relating to stock protection and minimizing shrinkage are followed at all times

The ideal candidate will possess some of the following skills:

- Previous experience in a warehouse/retail supervisory role
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, lead, and motivate a team
- Must have excellent IT skills
- Experience with Food Safety, HACCP training. Ensuring compliance with hygiene and quality regulations
