Operations Supervisor

Are you an experienced operations professional looking for an opportunity to lead teams in a fast-paced port environment? Are you motivated by delivering safe, efficient, and high-performing operations while developing people and driving continuous improvement? We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team at King George V Dock, where you will play a key role in overseeing daily port activities, supporting operational performance, and ensuring excellent service for our customers.

Your Role

As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading day-to-day port operations, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements. You will supervise operational teams, coordinate resources, and support the successful handling of vessel, cargo, and landside operations. Working closely with colleagues, customers, and contractors, you will help drive operational performance, maintain high safety standards, and promote continuous improvement. You will also support the development of team members through coaching, training, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with health and safety, environmental, quality, and security requirements.

Due to the nature of our 24/7 operation, flexibility is key, and overtime may be required from time to time to meet operational requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role within a fast-paced and dynamic port operation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
