Operations Supervisor Waste Collections

Take the helm of a high-performing waste collection operation where your leadership directly impacts service delivery, safety, and environmental stewardship.

As our Operations Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day coordination of our waste collection activities on a major £6m contract. You'll lead by example, managing a dedicated team of drivers, operatives, and sub-contractors to ensure we deliver an efficient, cost-effective service that meets customer expectations and budget goals.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)

  • Champion safety: Lead from the front by implementing company SHEQ policies, conducting thorough risk assessments, and ensuring safe systems of work.
  • Protect the environment: Perform environmental aspects and impacts analyses to minimize our footprint and ensure strict adherence to site permits and regulations.
  • Investigate and train: Oversee accident, incident, and near-miss reporting. Ensure all staff and sub-contractors are fully trained, competent, and hold the correct licenses and certificates.
  • Maintain standards: Display statutory notices, manage PPE distribution, and hold team members accountable for their health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
