SAUL Trustee Company (STC) administers the Superannuation Arrangements of the University of London (SAUL), a pension scheme with over £3 billion in assets and 87,000 members across 49 employers in the higher education sector. STC is responsible for collecting contributions from members and employers, managing how those funds are invested, and ensuring pensions are paid accurately and on time. Role Description
The Operations Support Administrator is a full-time hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, with a mix of office-based work and some work from home. In this role, the administrator supports day-to-day pension operations, including processing member and employer data, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the administration of contributions and pension payments. The role involves responding to member and employer queries, preparing routine correspondence and documentation, and supporting internal processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. The administrator will work closely with colleagues to streamline workflows, support system updates, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the operations function.

- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including accurate data entry, record-keeping, and document management.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn pension administration or financial systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle member and employer queries professionally and courteously.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to processing information, checking calculations, and ensuring accuracy in payments and reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
- Comfort with hybrid working arrangements, including maintaining productivity and communication when working from home.
- Experience in financial services, pensions administration, or a similar regulated environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Good numeracy skills and a general understanding of pensions or employee benefits; relevant training or qualifications in finance, business, or administration are an advantage.
