6 Month Contract - Operations Support

Open to college leavers with A levels seeking an entry-level role in finance.

About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Support Analyst for an international commodity trading company in the City of London. The candidate will support the Operations Coordinator and wider team in booking, verifying, processing, and settling worldwide Material Services transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Processing of Trades
    • Verify trade entries booked in Trinity and ensure accuracy.
    • Ensure trade confirmations are received and sent within required timeframes.
    • Ensure all life cycle events through the system have been completed.
    • Investigate customer, cross-functional, and global queries.
    • Support commercial team transactions.
    • Work with trading, commercial, and credit to ensure credit lines are adhered to.
    • Support business with analysis where required.

  • Metal Movements / Shipping and Reconciliation

    • Clear London and Zurich daily commitments by the cut-off time.
    • Record internal and external metal movements accurately and on time.
    • Reconcile all stock positions and clear discrepancies.
  • Monitoring of Contracts

    • Comply with contractual obligations for pricing, delivery, and payment.
    • Identify, report, and deal with discrepancies.

Knowledge and Experience

Educational Background:

  • A level candidate

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with curiosity and excellent attention to detail to monitor contracts, adapt to change, and identify trade discrepancies.
