Operations Support Coordinator
Location: Coatbridge
Work Pattern: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: £14.42 per hour
Summary of Role
The Operations Support Coordinator will provide consistent oversight, follow-up and practical support across the Coatbridge site, helping to strengthen compliance, process discipline and accountability. The role will monitor key site processes, identify gaps, support People Leaders with required actions and ensure activities linked to audit readiness, employee relations, training, sickness management, accident processes, purchase order administration and site cost/hour queries are progressed within expected timescales.
This position will act as a central point of coordination, helping to maintain standards, improve visibility of actions and reduce escalation of avoidable issues across the site.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance actions throughout the year to support audit readiness and ensure outstanding actions are addressed in a timely manner.
- Track investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, one-to-ones and probationary reviews, ensuring People Leaders are aware of required actions and deadlines.
- Support training compliance activities, including GDPs and SSOWs, ensuring documents are issued, updated and refreshed where required.
- Monitor adherence to the Sickness Management Policy, ensuring documentation and process stages are completed within procedural timescales.
- Track accident-related actions and highlight outstanding activities to relevant People Leaders and operational teams.
- Raise purchase orders and monitor contract and blanket purchase order renewals to support continuity of site services.
- Investigate site cost and hours queries, identifying concerns and escalating issues before they impact operations or payroll.
- Provide practical administrative support including note taking, travel and hotel bookings, meeting coordination and process administration.

Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience in an administrative, compliance, operational support or process coordination role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working alongside People Leaders and operational stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when maintaining records, monitoring actions and reviewing information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including spreadsheet and reporting tools.
- Ability to analyse information, identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining effective communication across multiple departments.
Desirable
- Previous experience supporting audit readiness and compliance processes.
- Understanding of sickness management procedures and employee relations processes.
- Experience monitoring training compliance activities, including GDPs and SSOWs.
- Knowledge of purchase order administration and contract renewal processes.
- Familiarity with Workday or similar HR and time management systems.
- Experience investigating site cost, payroll or hours-related queries.
