Operations Support Lead - Standards & Ways of Working

£40,000 to £50,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)

Manchester city centre - in this role you'll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office as required for team days, meetings, and events (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

We're open to applications from people who may require flexible working arrangements. There'll be an opportunity to discuss your flexible working requirements during the interview process, and at offer stage.

We're reshaping our Digital, Technology and Data function for the future, creating new opportunities, strengthening our capability, and building clearer, more resilient ways of working so we can deliver even better services for our Co-op, our colleagues, members and customers.

We're looking for an Operations Support Lead - Standards & Ways of Working to join our Digital Technology & Data (DT&D) team and help teams work better together. Working closely with leaders, delivery teams and colleagues, you'll support improvement initiatives across DT&D, turning feedback, insight and learning into practical actions that improve ways of working and create lasting change across the organisation.

Why this role matters

This role gives you the opportunity to help shape the way DT&D collaborates, learns and continuously improves. You'll work across a wide range of teams and stakeholders, helping turn good intentions into meaningful outcomes and creating practical approaches that make a lasting difference. If you're passionate about improvement, enjoy working with people and can turn insight into action, you'll have the chance to influence positive change across a large and complex technology function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
