Operations Support Manager
A leading financial technology provider is looking for an Operations Support Manager to oversee the smooth running of multiple live trading platforms and lead a small, high‑performing support team. This is a hands‑on role at the centre of real‑time market operations, blending technical troubleshooting, leadership, and direct exposure to equity and derivatives trading workflows.
You’ll manage a team responsible for first‑line support during market hours, ensuring systems remain stable, issues are resolved quickly, and clients receive exceptional service. The role involves monitoring live environments, coordinating incident response, maintaining reference data, raising operational changes, and working closely with internal teams across Compliance, Surveillance, Infrastructure, and Product.

What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and mentoring a front‑line technical support team
- Overseeing daily operational checks and live platform stability
- Handling client queries, onboarding, access requests, and decommissioning
- Troubleshooting across application, network, and infrastructure layers
- Managing reference data updates across multiple trading platforms
- Producing outage reports and improving operational processes
- Collaborating with internal teams to enhance tooling and workflows
- Participating in release reviews and supporting production upgrades
- Working within a rotating shift pattern (07:00–18:00) with occasional weekend work
What you’ll bring:
- Strong background in technical or operational support within financial markets
- Solid understanding of equity and derivatives trading workflows
- Experience with FIX protocol
- Ability to write SQL and work confidently with relational databases
- Hands‑on Linux troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, ports, telnet, etc.)
- Previous leadership experience in a high‑availability environment
- Excellent communication skills and calmness under pressure
- Familiarity with Git, scripting (bash/Python), Grafana, or Atlassian tools is a bonus
