About the role
Supporting Business Operations, responsible for providing administrative, operational, and logistical support to ensure the best efficiency and functioning of business in day-to-day operations. Working closely with all other departments to maintain and improve processes and support organizational goals to keep moving forwards.
Reporting to the Operations Manager
Working Location: BYD’s Reading site RG2 0TG (Fully Office-based)
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to teams and departments.
- Maintain accurate records databases and documentation.
- Prepare, compile, and analyze reports to support business decisions.
- Coordinate communications between internal departments.
- Monitor operational processes and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Assist with scheduling, meetings, travel arrangements, and event coordination.
- Process and track invoices, purchase orders, and other operational documents and needs.
- Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to customer, client, and employee enquiries.
- Assist in resolving operational issues and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Manage filing systems and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support project implementation and provide administrative assistance to project teams.

Your profile
- Previous experience in operations support, administration, customer services, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
