Job purpose
We are looking for a practical, organised and commercially minded Operations & Systems Manager to provide maternity cover and help East End Prints improve the way its systems and processes work.
This is a hands-on role sitting across Operations, Product, Ecommerce and Technology. You will keep the day-to-day operational engine running while also improving the systems, processes and automation behind it.
You don't need to be a developer or a compliance specialist. You do need to be a confident problem solver who can act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, resolving where possible and escalating strategic, technical or specialist matters appropriately.
Your Impact
- Keep the operation running smoothly: Own our product lifecycle, data flow of orders and operational activity from production through to fulfilment and delivery.
- Ensure our product and systems infrastructure works: Own the accuracy, integrity and flow of product information across our systems, ecommerce channels and operational workflows.
- Solve problems and remove friction: Identify issues, bottlenecks and inefficiencies across the operation and turn them into practical solutions.
- Make the business more efficient: Continuously improve processes, systems and ways of working, reducing manual effort and introducing automation where it adds value.
- Deliver change: Lead operational, systems and product-related projects, ensuring new products, channels, functionality and processes are operationally ready.
- Coordinate people and partners: Bring together internal teams, developers, suppliers and technology partners to get things done and keep projects and operational priorities moving.
- Build scalable ways of working: Create clear processes, documentation and shared knowledge that make the business less dependent on individuals and easier to scale.
- Provide operational control and visibility: Monitor performance, costs, service levels and recurring issues, using clear reporting to identify where attention and improvement are needed.

Person Specification
- Experience in operations, ecommerce, product operations, digital operations, business systems or process management.
- Strong organisational and project-management skills.
- Comfortable working with product data and multiple business systems.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Experience improving processes and implementing automation.
- Confident managing external suppliers and technical partners.
- Able to investigate problems and work out practical solutions.
- Clear communicator who can work across different teams.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic and hands-on.

Advantageous skills and experience:
- Experience with Plytix, BigCommerce, Order Desk, Zapier, product feeds, DAM/PIM systems or marketplaces.
