Position: Operations Team Leader

Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £16.11 per hour
Contract: Full Time Temp until December

At Yankee Candle, we believe fragrance has the power to make everyday moments unforgettable. We’re looking for an energetic and organised Operations Team Leader to help drive the day-to-day success of our store and support our team in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As an Operations Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in keeping the store running efficiently, supporting the team and ensuring our products are always presented to the highest standard.

The Role:

As an Operations Team Leader, your main focus will be to support the Store Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the store, with particular responsibility for stock, deliveries and operational standards. You will lead by example, ensuring the stockroom is organised, deliveries are processed efficiently and products are available and replenished on the sales floor.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, sorting and processing deliveries
  • Overseeing stockroom organisation
  • Maintaining accurate inventory
  • Coordinating replenishment
  • Supporting merchandising standards
  • Ensuring operational tasks are completed efficiently and on time

You will also:

  • Support and guide team members, helping to prioritise daily tasks
  • Maintain a positive, productive working environment

You’ll be an essential part of the store leadership team, balancing operational responsibilities with a customer-first mindset and helping ensure the store is organised, fully stocked and ready to deliver an excellent shopping experience.

About You:

  • Previous experience in retail, stockroom or operations is preferred
  • Experience supporting or leading a team is an advantage
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident managing deliveries, stock and inventory
  • A proactive, hands-on team player who leads by example
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences
  • Comfortable using computers and stock management systems
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, responsible and confident taking ownership of operational tasks
  • Flexible and available to work according to business needs
