Role Purpose:
The Operations Team Leader provides guidance and direction to teams to ensure a high accuracy and output is achieved. Creating a productive work environment, assessing team performance, and providing feedback and skills-based coaching.
The successful candidate will be a crucial part of operational projects for better efficiency, coordinate and communicate with teams regarding upcoming projects or tasks to ensure deadlines are met by working with each department to deliver it with the desired highest standard level.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure that priorities are agreed and clearly communicated to stakeholders.
- Manage to resolution and report non-compliance to the Head of Operations.
- Engage with stakeholders across the business to ensure issues are resolved.
- Provide ownership and issue resolution on behalf of the 3 workstreams in Settlements.
- Create a culture of continuous learning. Expand thinking to ensure processes are challenged, understand, and empathise with all stakeholders within a process.
- Conduct skills-based training and coaching for staff across settlements workstreams.
- Encourage critical thinking, provide clear direction and provide staff with development opportunities and coaching.
- Manage team resource, ensuring adequate staff (resources and training) to fulfil team’s obligations.
- Conduct probationary meetings and 121s for team members.
- Provide performance reports (daily, monthly, adhoc).
- Maintain fully documented standard operating procedures.
- Work alongside other team leaders to ensure organization and tasks are properly aligned to achieve SLAs.

What We’re Looking For:
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience leading, coaching and developing operational teams.
- Interest in technology, foreign exchange, and payments. Interest in data and modelling, statistics, has an active, enquiring mind.
- Interest in improving processes to ensure efficiency and a better experience to our clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Good understanding of operational processes within a regulated financial services environment.
Education / Qualifications:
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.

Location and Contract Type:
This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is expected to be office-based in Coventry, however, we have a flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home.
