We're looking for a highly organised and ambitious Operations & Technical Coordinator to join our Communal Operations & Maintenance team in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career at the intersection of operations, engineering, commercial management and customer service while gaining exposure to a wide range of business functions.

Working alongside experienced engineers, technical specialists, planners and commercial teams, you'll play a key role in coordinating projects from initial identification and pricing through to delivery, reporting and invoicing. You'll gain valuable experience in contract administration, project coordination, technical reporting, scheduling and business operations, with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied role offering hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business. You will:

  • Coordinate engineering surveys, maintenance activities and site visits.
  • Help prepare quotations, proposals and contract documentation.
  • Support project planning, scheduling and resource coordination.
  • Work with technical teams to understand survey findings and maintenance requirements.
  • Produce reports, presentations and performance updates for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the onboarding of new contracts and customers.
  • Maintain project and contract information within business systems and databases.
  • Liaise with engineers, customers and contractors to ensure work progresses smoothly.
  • Track actions, deadlines and project milestones through to completion.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, reporting and customer experience.

Location and working hours:

  • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
  • Office location: Stuart House, Peterborough (PE1 5DD)

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is looking to build a career in operations, project coordination or technical services and is eager to learn and develop professionally.
  • Is organised, proactive and enjoys managing multiple priorities.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Is confident communicating with a range of people.
  • Enjoys working with data, systems and processes.
  • Is keen to learn about engineering, maintenance and technical operations.
  • Has good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Brings a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

It would be great if you also have:

  • A degree, HNC/HND or qualification in Business, Engineering, Operations, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in administration, customer service or project support, whether through work placements, internships, part-time employment or university projects.
  • An interest in engineering, sustainability, utilities, property or infrastructure sectors.
