Salary: £25,445.42 + Shift Premium £6,461.65

St Austell, Cornwall

Contract: Full-time, 38.5 hours per week

Par: 74 Shift - 12 hour Days / Nights in rotation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operative within our Dry Processing team. We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our operation. The purpose of this role is to support the safe and efficient operation of the Rocks Tube Press plant, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality and compliance with Imerys Quality and EHS standards. This role plays a key part in delivering dried products to customer specifications and supporting continuous production throughput.

Summary of the role:

  • Maintain tube presses in an efficient operational condition to maximise production throughput.
  • Work in line with instructions issued by the Shift Supervisor and communicate effectively throughout the shift.
  • Assist with maintaining product moisture levels to the required specification.
  • Monitor and maintain screens to ensure optimum plant performance and throughput.
  • Accurately record production and operational information as required.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
  • Follow all Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety procedures at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and contribute ideas to improve operational performance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure production targets and customer requirements are achieved.

Do you have the following attributes?

  • Driving licence valid to drive in the UK
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to learn new roles and tasks as required.
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to working safely at all times.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use SCADA systems, email and spreadsheets.
  • Forklift Truck and Front End Loader licences would be advantageous.
  • Experience of tube pressing and/or dry processing operations would be beneficial.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work using your own initiative.
