- Status: Full time (38.5 hours per week, 72 shift pattern)
- Annual Salary: up to £27,266.16 DOE + allowance £4,174.82
- Site: Parkandillick Calciner, St Austell, Cornwall
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operative within Parkandillick. We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our operation. The position is milling biased within the crushing, screening, bagging and ball milling sections of the plant. The purpose of the role is to ensure that calcined clays are produced in accordance with documented procedures and Imerys Quality and EHS Policies. To follow production schedules ensuring the processes operate at optimum efficiency, minimising waste where possible. Support in wagon maintenance which involves manual repairs to wagons main part of role.

Summary of the role:
- Maintain EHS awareness and safety compliance.
- Manage stock rotation and loading bay housekeeping.
- Perform pallet maintenance, including repairs and shrink-wrapping.
- Operate necessary processing equipment and support customer trials.
- Provide support in other areas, demonstrate team commitment, and pursue continuous improvement.
Do you have the following attributes?
- Qualifications: Basic English and Maths, IT skills, and a UK driving licence. Forklift and front-end loader licences are required.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience and knowledge of processes, equipment, and LOTOTO. Previous experience operating forklifts and front-end loaders would be an advantage; however, this is not essential.
- Competencies: Ability to work at heights and as part of a team. A good level of physical fitness is required due to the frequent manual handling of 25kg bags and pallet-building activities.
- Training: Training can be provided for a forklift ticket if not already held. The role requires the ability to gain competencies in various processes, such as operating mills, IBC filling, material reprocessing, and using pallet inverters.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work in different areas as required and adapt to changing priorities.
