Plant Operative

Sharpsmart are part of Daniels Health, a global business providing safety systems and medical waste collection for hospitals and an array of customers within the healthcare setting. Our focus is delivering quality and safety-focused medical waste management services that reduce needlestick injuries, positively impact infection control and reduce environmental burden.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Operative position; this role is critical to the success of the company with widely varying role, including:

  • Checking in containers and checking paperwork
  • Moving/unloading specific waste containers
  • Operating a forklift to load an autoclave
  • Weighing incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge)
  • Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
  • Lifting and pushing carts
  • Providing attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items
  • General housekeeping
  • Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
  • Working well with a team because we are all about teamwork!

Salary

£28,445.42 - £28,445.42 a year

Who Are We Looking For?

The ideal candidate will have experience in a production/warehouse environment with experience of working in a fast-paced position. Teamwork is a huge part of this role and you must be able to communicate well across the plant, and be able to support as needed. We are looking for an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
