Worcester City Council
An opportunity has arisen within Worcester city council’s City Services. We are looking for street cleaning/grounds maintenance operatives with excellent knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm to help front line services. You will be working to ensure Worcester is a clean, tidy and safe city.
About the Role
We are looking for operatives with the relevant environmental services experience to join our team on a permanent basis. As part of our Place team the post holder will work on the front line working as part of the place team. Tasks involve:
- Litter picking
- Hedge cutting
- Strimming
- Mowing
- General grounds maintenance duties
A key part of the role will be the ability to deliver good customer service to residents of, and visitors to, Worcester city.

Requirements
We place a high priority on health and safety, so candidates will need a good understanding of these practices in a busy front-line service.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of and ideally have experience in, grounds maintenance and street cleaning.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable.
Working Hours
The hours of work are 37 per week Monday-Friday.
