Are you an experienced Freight Forwarding Operator looking for your next challenge? Are you ready to take the next step in your career with an established and expanding freight forwarding business?

Our Hull branch is seeking an ambitious and proactive Operator to join our successful team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong operational background in freight forwarding who is keen to make an impact and thrive in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of office-based and remote working following successful completion of training and probation.

What You'll Do

  • As an Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of freight while delivering exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
    • Managing day-to-day freight forwarding operations from start to finish
    • Coordinating shipments across road, sea, and air freight services
    • Liaising with customers, carriers, shipping lines, and suppliers
    • Ensuring customs and shipping documentation is accurate and compliant
    • Tracking shipments and proactively communicating updates to customers
    • Handling quotations and operational queries
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners
    • Ensuring all files are completed accurately and in line with company procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within the freight forwarding industry
  • Fluency in both English and Turkish is essential for this role due to the requirement to communicate directly with Turkish-speaking customers, suppliers, and overseas partners on a daily basis
  • Strong operational knowledge of freight processes and documentation
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with customs procedures would be advantageous
  • A team player who is eager to contribute to the continued success of the Hull branch
