Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Job Description

The introduction of new products and better processes is essential for E6 remaining a competitive and growing business.

The Operations team at the GIC manage the preparation and processing of new concepts and products for E6.

Moving the various samples through the production process requires skilful operation of equipment, attention to detail and the ability to communicate well with all parts of the business.

There is a constant drive to develop testing to better simulate our customers’ requirements and to develop new processing techniques in support of the production plants. The operations teams also play a key role in pilot production and increasingly in the transfer of products to production.

Duties and Tasks

  • Operation of production equipment including grinding and lapping machines, microscopes among others. Complete training will be provided for all equipment.
  • Do routine cleaning and operator maintenance on the machines
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Follow the production plan and communicate any issues with the workload.
  • Predict completion times, schedule workloads, and foresee issues with both the material and existing capacity.
  • Work with Technicians, engineers and other resources to continually improve the process.
  • Comply with department and company procedures including Health & Safety
