Job Description: Operator (Multiple Vacancies Available)
Core Shifts:
Monday - Thursday – 7am – 3.30pm and Friday 7am – 1pm

Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world.

About the Role
As a member of the Operator Team, the jobholder will be required to:
- Ensure production requirements are met or surpassed
- Ensure site procedures and standards are adhered to for Health & Safety, Environment, HMRC and Quality.
- Accountable for the 5S strategy in your designated area and ensure it is adhered to. Support other Operators to deliver across the business area.
- Drive performance and deal with any issues; escalating exceptional issues to Site Leadership Team immediately.
- Be familiar with the safe operation of all new equipment and processes
- Be able to demonstrate flexibility to operate within all areas of the site.
- Where required, provide accurate handover and status report for corresponding Operators on following shift.
This type of role will typically entail physical manual handling activities, the wearing of personal protective equipment, frequent bending, twisting, turning, stooping, with some over-reaching and standing for long periods of time. Some aspects of the role also entail working with vibration equipment, working at height and working alone.

Dimensions
Focused on delivering the Maturation production commitment, specifically within Blackgrange. The role will be on core shift. However, it is required that the role holder will be flexible and may be required to work reasonable overtime and adjust working hours on occasion.

Purpose of Role
- To provide support to the Site Leadership Team and work closely with Operator team members to deliver production commitments.
- To meet/exceed site production targets.
- To identify areas of concern and highlight any potential deadline misses well in advance.
- To ensure that Diageo quality and compliance commitments are not compromised at any stage.
- To direct the activities of the site teams to ensure seamless production.

Experience/Skills Required
- Knowledge/awareness of Health & Safety, Environment and HMRC Legislation.
- A confident and effective communicator who is able to develop excellent relationships at all levels.
- Willingness and ability to coach team members to drive increased performance and develop their knowledge and skills.
- Ability to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders to mutual benefit.
- Ability to challenge effectively and constructively.
- Effective management of workload, prioritisation and time scales.
- Experience of working in a team-orientated environment.
- Most important attribute will be to have the right behavioral skills, which demonstrate a “Can Do” attitude and an ability to challenge appropriately.
- A proactive and committed approach to continual self-development and learning.
- P.C. literate. Good numerical skills.
- The successful candidate must possess a full UK Drivers Licence.
