Equipment Owner

Shieldhall, Glasgow

x4 Permanent Positions available

Shift pattern: Night Shift (28.5 hrs)
Closing Date: 20th September

About the Role

This role is based at Diageo’s Shieldhall packaging site. Shieldhall packages a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits, and ready-to-drink brands to supply over 170 countries around the world and is a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category.

As an Equipment Owner within our Packaging Team at Shieldhall, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that operations are carried out to the highest standard and in adherence to Diageo's health and safety, environmental, and food safety standards, at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform operational tasks, support continuous improvement, and apply autonomous maintenance and quality skills.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including craft, quality, and brand change departments, to maintain effective teamwork.
  • Responsible for conducting effective shift handovers.
  • Operate bottling line machinery following standard operating procedures.
  • Reduce setup times and perform autonomous maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and resolving issues.
  • Work with Team Leaders to drive performance improvements and support targets in safety, quality, performance, service, and cost.
  • Health and safety compliance is key, and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets such as production quality and HMRC compliance.

Shifts

As an Equipment Owner in this position, you will work 28.5 hours per week on night shift:

  • Sunday 23:00-05:30
  • Monday - Thursday 00:00-05:30

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
