About the Role
Ready to impact a better future? As a Shift Operator in our TCS team, you’ll support the configuration and real-time operation of satellite ground and communication systems on behalf of the United States Space Force. Your role ensures flawless, uninterrupted satellite support, contributing to global connectivity and critical missions shaping our shared future.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth operations at this vital site, with full training, mentoring, and support provided. Your growth, contribution, and purpose will have meaningful impact as part of the Space division’s trusted operations.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Configure and operate Ground Station equipment in real-time
- Maintain routine daily operations within the Communications area
- Achieve and maintain certification on specific equipment and systems
- Uphold operational security standards in line with Space Force Operations procedures
- Complete documentation as directed by the Shift Supervisor or designated deputy
- Act as safety person for colleagues when required
- Support on-the-job training for new members
- Assist with system checks, tests, troubleshooting, and rectification
- Maintain tidy and safe operational and workshop areas

Requirements
This role is open to candidates who have:
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths
- Strong PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience in electrical or electronic engineering (preferred but not mandatory)
- Willingness to complete A+ certification and achieve SC (Security Check) Clearance
- A full driving licence and readiness to drive company vehicles
- Willingness to become a rescue climber
