Operations Support Administrator

Location: Bescot, Walsall

Salary: £26,500

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 Hours

Working pattern: Fully Office-Based

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and customer-focused Operations Support Administrator to join our SMR team.

In this varied office-based role, you’ll provide essential administrative support to both our field and office-based teams. You’ll help ensure work is booked accurately, information is kept up to date and customers and colleagues receive a professional and efficient service.

You’ll manage a mixture of telephone and administrative tasks, including work scheduling, job bookings, billing queries and updating internal systems. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, solving problems and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting consumers and corporate customers by telephone and electronic communication
  • Providing administrative support to field and office-based colleagues and managers
  • Creating and maintaining job bookings in line with agreed service levels
  • Handling work schedules, bookings, billing enquiries and client queries
  • Updating work platforms, supplier databases, spreadsheets and management information reports
  • Collating, entering and processing accurate workflow data
  • Supporting new business implementations, including uploading data to CRM systems
  • Maintaining your knowledge of customer accounts, processes and procedures
  • Working closely with colleagues to support effective job planning, service efficiency and quality
  • Helping group and plan work to support the efficiency of field-based teams

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be highly organised, comfortable managing different priorities and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work. You’ll also be confident communicating with customers and colleagues over the telephone.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role
  • Experience of handling calls within a customer service or contact centre environment
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and creating spreadsheets
  • A professional and confident telephone manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working as part of a team while using your own initiative
  • An understanding of geographic work planning or job grouping
  • An NVQ Level 3 qualification in administration or customer service, or equivalent experience
